APIC ‘12: Iran’s PCC Borzuyeh aromatics unit shut for maintenance

KUALA LUMPUR (ICIS)--Iran Petrochemical Commercial Company’s (PCC) 750,000 tonne/year Borzuyeh aromatics unit is currently shut for scheduled month-long maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

PCC is targeting to restart the complex in early-June, the source said.

The Asaluyeh-based unit has a nameplate PX capacity of 750,000 tonnes/year; orthoxylene (OX) capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year, and; benzene capacity of 430,000 tonnes/year.

The unit ran at 70% of nameplate capacity prior to its shutdown on 10 May.
