LONDON (ICIS)--Poland's April chemical output rose by 11.4% year on year, the country's central statistics office said on Monday.
Overall industrial production increased 2.9% year on year but fell 7.5% from the previous month , it added.
Compared to April 2011, output in April of this year improved in 22 out the 34 monitored industrial sectors, the statistical office said.
An 18.9% improvement was recorded in the manufacture of machinery and equipment. However, output declined by 9.8% in the production of furniture and by 6.8% in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
