DOHA, Qatar (ICIS)--The US Tampa ammonia price for June deliveries has been agreed at a $80/tonne (€62/tonne) increase, market sources said on Tuesday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) conference, sources said the price had been set at $625/tonne CFR (cost and freight).
The May price was agreed at $545/tonne CFR.
The higher price comes on the back of increased prices from Yuzhny over the past month, with latest business heard in the $560-570/tonne FOB (free on board) range.
US demand is also strong for June/July cargoes, which has boosted sentiment.
At the same time, availability from major supply source is reduced due to natural gas supply curtailments.
The IFA conference runs from 20-23 May.
