China September LLDPE futures decrease 1.32% on euro debt crisis

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures decreased by 1.32% on 23 May on concerns about the ongoing eurozone sovereign debt crisis, industry sources said on Wednesday.

September LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 9,715/tonne ($1,537/tonne) on 23 May, down by CNY130/tonne from the settlement price of CNY9,845/tonne on 22 May.

Around 1.13m tonnes of LLDPE, or 455,594 contracts, were traded for delivery in September, according to DCE data.
