China’s Taita Chemical (Zhongshan) to shut EPS plant on 1 June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Taita Chemical (Zhongshan) Co plans to shut one of its three expandable polystyrene (EPS) lines of 50,000 tonne/year capacity for maintenance at Zhongshan in southern China’s Guangdong province on 1 June, a company source said on Thursday.

The shutdown is expected to last for half a month, the source added.

The other two lines with a total 150,000 tonne/year capacity will run at normal rate during the shutdown, the source said.
