SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Company plans to shut its 500,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Yinchuan city of China’s Ningxia Autonomous Region in mid-June for regular maintenance, market sources said on Thursday.

The shutdown is expected to last a month, they said, but a company source declined to confirm the schedule of the planned turnaround.

Shenhua Ningxia’s PP facility consists of two lines – a 200,000 tonne/year unit and a 300,000 tonne/year unit. The plant produces polymers via a methanol-to-olefins (MTO) route.
