China's Jiangmen Handsome to start-up BA unit by end of 2012

SANYA, China (ICIS)--Chinese-based Jiangmen Handsome Chemical Development is hoping to start up its new butyl acrylate (BA) unit by the end of 2012, market sources said on Thursday at the 9th China International Acrylate and MMA Forum of CBI.

The producer currently operates ethyl acetate (etac) and butyl acetate (butac) plants in east and south China.

The plant, at Taixing in Jiangsu province, east China, can produce 120,000 tonnes/year of etac 60,000 tonnes/year butac.  

Meanwhile in southern Guangdong province, the company runs a 320,000 tonne/year etac/butac swing plant at Jiangmen and a 60,000 tonne/year butac plant at Huizhou.
