SANYA, China (ICIS)--South Korean acrylates maker LG Chem is expected to start its 160,000 tonne/year crude acrylic acid (CAA) in early June, market sources said on Thursday at the 9th China International Acrylate and MMA Forum of CBI.
The new line, in Yeosu, will bring the producer’s total nameplate capacity to 353,000 tonnes/year CAA, market sources said.
LG Chem currently operates three crude AA lines with a total production capacity of 193,000 tonnes/year.
