CP Chem restarting US cracker after 42-day turnaround

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical is restarting its Sweeny 33 cracker in Texas after taking the unit down in mid-April for a planned turnaround, market sources said on Thursday.

The 907,000 tonne/year cracker was taken off line on 12 April, according to sources.

A Chevron Phillips spokesperson declined to comment on the restart, citing policy.
