SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Hualu-Hengsheng has achieved on-spec production at its 150,000 tonne/year nitric acid in Shandong province, it said late on Thursday.

The start-up of the nitric acid plant will help to reduce its adipic acid (ADA) production costs, the company said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The producer has two ADA lines, each with a capacity of 80,000 tonnes/year, in Shandong province.
