SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Evonik Oil Additives has announced plans to double its Asia-Pacific production capacity for lubricant and biofuel additives by 2015, the German company said in a statement on Friday.
Evonik declined to disclose the current capacities of its plants and planned expansions when contacted by ICIS.
The company completed the construction of its facility in Singapore in 2008 with the aim of serving the fast-growing Asian lubricants market, the company said.
The expansion will increase capacity across Evonik’s portfolio of products manufactured for the Asian market, it added.
Evonik supplies lubricant additive products from its facility in Singapore to customers throughout Asia, with the largest volumes going to China, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Australia and India, it said.
