SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) plans to shut its 20,000 tonne/year ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) plant in Jilin on 29 May for one month of scheduled maintenance, a source close to the company said on Friday.

EPDM supply in China will be cut because of the turnaround, a market player said.

The producer sold EPDM products at yuan (CNY) 38,700/tonne ($6,104/tonne) on 25 May, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.

CNPC is the only EPDM producer in China.
