SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) plans to conduct trial runs at its 100,000 tonne/year butyl acrylate (butyl-A) plant at Huizhou in Guangzhou province at the end of June and early July, a company source said on Monday.

The producer expects to also start up its upstream 140,000 tonne/year acrylic acid (AA) plant at the same site, if its butyl-A plant is started up successfully, according to the source.

The exact start-up date for the AA plant has not been confirmed by the producer.
