SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai ethanol producer Eastern Sugar & Cane is running its plant in Sa Kaeo province in eastern Thailand at 80-90% capacity following a turnaround in early May, a company source said on Wednesday.
The producer shut its plant in the first week of May for maintenance and an equipment change then restarted it on 10 May, according to the source.
“We are running the plant at high rates because of stable domestic demand, despite the weak export market for both anhydrous and hydrous ethanol,” the source added.
