SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Belgium-based Taminco said on Wednesday it has chosen its amines production facility at Pace in Florida, the US, for a methylamine capacity expansion project.

The expanded capacity is expected to come on stream by the end of 2014, the company said in a statement.

Taminco did not disclose the financial details of the investment required for the expansion project.

The Pace facility produces methylamine, alkylamine and tertiary amines, while the firm’s other facility in the US at St Gabriel, Louisiana, manufactures alkylalkanolamine, alkylamine, diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA), and dimethylaminipropylamine (DMAPA).

Details on the facilities’ capacities were not immediately available.
