HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refineries produced 268,000 bbl (34,053 tonnes) of paraffin wax (p-wax) in March, an increase of 21% from February, according to data released on Wednesday by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA).
The March amounts were a 16% decrease from the 318,000 bbl of p-wax produced in March 2011.
US refineries produced 743,000 bbl of p-wax in the first three months of 2012, compared with 793,000 bbl in the same period of 2011.
