SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) plans to shut its 9m tonne/year bitumen plant at Taizhou, in Jiangsu province, for a maintenance turnaround in the second half of June, a company source said on Thursday.
“The turnaround will start around 15–20 June. The exact date depends on when the plant finishes using up its crude feedstock,” the source said. The turnaround will last about 15 days.
The plant was supposed to enter turnaround in May, but this was pushed back as the unit was needed to supply bitumen to expressway projects in central China, market sources indicated.
