JX Nippon, Idemitsu, S-Oil settle June PX ACP at $1,355/tonne

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Three Asia paraxylene (PX) majors have settled their June Asian Contract Price (ACP) at $1,355/tonne (€1,098/tonne) on Thursday, representing a $195/tonne decline from the previous month’s settlement.

Japan
’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy and Idemitsu Kosan, as well as South Korea’s S-Oil, have concluded negotiations with their respective customers in Taiwan and Japan at the price on a cost and freight (CFR) Asia basis, sources from the three companies said.

The May PX ACP was settled at $1,550/tonne CFR Asia.

No settlement was heard from ExxonMobil at 18:00 Singapore time (11:00 GMT).
