CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazilian petrochemical producer Braskem and German-based thermoplastics producer Tecnaro signed a deal to produce a new line of polyethylene (PE), Braskem said on Monday.
Tecnaro will use Braskem's PE to produce a compound of biopolymers that can be processed, depending on the formula, through injection moulding, extrusion or thermoforming processes.
Through the partnership, Braskem is seeking to improve its PE portfolio, the company said.
The company said it chose Tecnaro because it wants to expand its penetration into the European market.
