Taiwan’s FPCC May revenue falls 4%; petrochemical sales up 2%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwanese producer Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) reported on Tuesday a 4% year-on-year decline in its May revenue at New Taiwan dollar (NT$) 66.5bn ($2.2bn), with a minimal increase in contribution from petrochemicals.

Petrochemicals accounted for 30% of the total revenues last month at NT$20.2bn, representing a 2% rise compared with the same period in 2011, according to data released on the company’s website.

For the first five months of 2012, FPCC’s revenues grew 22% year on year to NT$382.5bn, based on the data.
