Germany industrial orders fall 1.9% in April from March

LONDON (ICIS)--Germany’s industrial orders fell 1.9% in April from March, mainly because of lower export orders, the country’s economics ministry said on Tuesday.

Export orders fell 3.6% while domestic orders rose 0.4%.

April's decrease followed a revised 3.2% increase in orders in March from February.

On a two-month sequential comparison – March-April against January-February – industrial orders were up 2.6%.

Compared with March-April 2011, orders were down 2.0% year on year.
