SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese melamine producer Sichuan Jade Elephant Scientific and Technological has restarted its 50,000 tonne/year melamine plant in Xinjiang province, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant is running at normal rates, the source said, without giving the exact rates.

“The plant was shut in the middle of February for maintenance. We plan to start selling the melamine output next week,” the source said.

The company also operates three melamine units with a combined nameplate capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year in Sichuan province.
