ExxonMobil reports flaring from Texas cracker, cites malfunction

HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil reported flaring from its Beaumont cracker in Texas, citing a treatment system malfunction in a public filing on Wednesday.

The treatment system was isolated to end flaring, the company said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

No other details were released.

A company spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.

ExxonMobil has 900,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity in Beaumont.
