Shanghai BASF Polyurethane to shut Caojing TDI, MDI late June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China-based Shanghai BASF Polyurethane Co (SBPC) plans to shut its toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) and methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) plants at Caojing, Shanghai, for annual maintenance in late June, a BASF source said on Friday.

The company will shut it 160,000 tonne/year TDI plant from 15 to 28 June, while its 160,000 tonne/year MDI split plant will be taken off line from 16 to 24 June, the source added.
