CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil-based Raizen trading would neither confirm nor deny a news report on Friday, which said that the company plans to increase ethanol exports to the US.
Exports to the US should rise by 20-30% in the 2012/2013 season, the newspaper Valor quoted an executive as saying.
Already, Raizen has signed contracts to export 500m litres of ethanol in 2012, Valor reported. The stronger US dollar is making the business more attractive.
Raizen is a joint venture of Brazil-based Cosan and Shell.
