SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xinneng Energy will restart its 600,000 tonne/year methanol unit at Dalad Qi in Inner Mongolia on 11 June, a company official said on Monday.

The company expects the plant to start production in two or three days, the source added.

The plant was restarted in mid-May after a month-long maintenance shutdown, but the company shut it again in late May for equipment maintenance following an unsuccessful restart, according to the source.

Xinneng Energy is a subsidiary of ENN Group.
