HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Valero reported emissions following maintenance on a hydrocracker unit at its 142,000 bbl/day Corpus Christi refinery in Texas because of a leak, a company spokesman said on Monday.
“We issued an emissions filing at Corpus Christi due to a small leak in a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) line that leads to the hydrocracker. The hydrocracker remains in operation, and there was no material impact on production,” said Valero spokesman Bill Day.
According to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), streams are being routed to the flare in order to reduce emissions.
