China’s PP, PE imports in May will rise by 9.2% – sources

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s imports of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in May are estimated to rise by a total of 79,300 tonnes, or 9.2%, from April, market sources said on Tuesday.
China's imports of PE and PP in May will hit 580,000 tonnes and 360,000 tonnes respectively, the sources added.
According to data from China Customs, the country imported 521,400 tonnes of PE and 339,300 tonnes of PP in April.
China Customs is expected to be released its import data for May on 20 June. By: Amy Yu
