HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories came down in the first full week of June, while production picked up, according to Energy Information Administration (EIA) data released on Wednesday.
Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 8 June were at 20.7m bbl, down by 500,000 bbl/day or 2% from 21.2m bbl a week earlier.
The drop also market the second consecutive week that ethanol inventories have come down.
Meanwhile, ethanol production was at 920,000 bbl/day, up by 16,000 bbl/day or 1.8% from 904,000 bbl/day the previous week.
