CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil’s Chamber of Foreign Trade (Camex) temporarily eliminated the country’s import tariff on paraxylene (PX) to ensure the country had enough of the product, the government agency said on Thursday.
Camex said it cut the tariff to 0% from 4% for all shipments of up to 160,000 tonnes for a period of 12 months.
Imports that exceed 160,000 tonnes during this period will continue to have a 4% tariff.
