HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil reported flaring from its Beaumont cracker in Texas, citing a compressor trip in a public filing on Friday.
The compressor tripped as a result of an electrical outage, the company said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Operations at the 900,000 tonne/year unit were reduced to minimise flaring, ExxonMobil said.
A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
