LLDPE SPOT PRICES UP ON RISING FUTURES
Spot prices for linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) in China increased by yuan (CNY) 100/tonne on June 11, as the Dalian Commodity Exchange's (DCE) LLDPE futures rose. China domestic LLDPE prices rose to CNY9,600-9,950/tonne ($1,507-1,562/tonne) EXWH (ex-warehouse) on June 11 from CNY9,500-9,950/tonne EXWH on June 8, as assessed by Chemease, an ICIS service in China.

ARGENTINA PP PRICES ON CLIMB IN JUNE
Argentina prices for polypropylene (PP) continued to climb in June. Homopolymer grades saw a modest jump of 2.5% over May prices, while copolymers saw a more substantial increase of 4.3%, despite a large decline in feedstock propylene. Prior to the June increase, Argentina's PP homopolymer raffia prices were in the range of $2,036-2,103/tonne DEL (delivered), as assessed by ICIS. Homopolymer injection PP was at $2,114-2,147/tonne DEL, as assessed by ICIS.

EUROPE PVC EXPORT PRICES FALL FROM MAY
Europe spot and export prices for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) slumped from May on slower demand, rising inventories and lower feedstock ethylene. Most deals were said to be done at €800-830/tonne ($1,013-1,051/tonne) FD (free delivered) in the week ended June 8, down €50/tonne from the previous week and by €100/tonne since the beginning of May.

BAYER SEEKS PC PRICE HIKE FOR JUNE
Bayer MaterialScience is seeking a 10 cent/lb ($220/tonne, €176/tonne) price increase for its US polycarbonate (PC) material, according to market sources. The price increase will be effective on June 20.
