SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Wison Engineering said on Monday it was awarded two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts by Saudi Arabian petrochemical major SABIC.

Wison will provide EPC services for SABIC subsidiary Saudi Iron & Steel’s (HADEED) plant de-bottlenecking project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical’s (YANPET) benzene mitigation project, the Chinese company said in a press release.

The two EPC contracts will be completed by September 2013 and around December 2013, respectively, it added.

Wison did not provide further details about the two projects.

This is an important milestone for Wison Engineering as it marks its expansion to overseas markets, it said, adding that this will also pave the way for the company to further develop its business in the Middle East.

Wison Engineering is a subsidiary of Wison Group Holding. It provides construction and technical services for engineering installations in the petrochemical, coal chemical and refining industries.
