HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil reported flaring from its Baytown cracker in Texas in a public filing on Tuesday, saying an electrical surge caused a pump to shut down.

The upset resulted in some impact on production, ExxonMobil said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

ExxonMobil has two crackers in Baytown with a combined 2.2m tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.

The company does not comment on its operations, according to a spokesperson.
