SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Pakistan’s United Ethanol Industries is planning to shut its 36,000 tonne/year ethanol unit in Rahim Yar Khan district for maintenance in November, according to a company source on Wednesday.

“We will shut the plant for equipment maintenance sometime in November, but we have not specified a date,” the source said.

The producer is running the unit at 100% capacity, the source said.

“Most ethanol producers in Pakistan are currently running their units at close to 100% capacity to meet the requirements of their regular customers,” the source added.
