HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories rose by 3.4% in the second week of June while operating rates at US refineries remained steady, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday.
Propylene inventories were at 3.804m bbl in the week that ended on 15 June, up from 3.678m bbl a week earlier, the government reported.
US refineries operated at 91.9% of capacity last week, slightly down from 92.0% a week earlier, according to the EIA.
Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for June was bid on Wednesday at 37 cents/lb ($816/tonne, €645/tonne) with no offers. RGP traded at 37.00 and 38 cents/lb last week.
