SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tianjin Dagu plans to start up a 200,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plant in Tianjin, northern China in July, a company source said on Thursday.

The company already has a 200,000 tonne/year ABS unit, which was running at 50% capacity  due to weak demand, the source added.

The company plans to turnaround the existing unit after the start-up of the new plant but the duration of the shtudown and exact dates were not immediately known, the source said.
