HOUSTON (ICIS)--Shell reported a leak on crude oil piping near tanks at its 327,000 bbl/day Deer Park refinery in Texas, in a filing with state regulators on Thursday.
Approximately 285 bbl of crude oil was spilled and upon discovery the line was isolated, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The filing said plans for repair are being developed and the investigation had not yet been completed. There was no time frame for repair indicated.
A company spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
