SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Sinopec has settled its June benzene average list price in east China at yuan (CNY) 7,813/tonne ($1,227/tonne) EXW (ex-works), down by CNY720/tonne from its May average list price, a company source said on Monday.
The major producer’s average monthly list price for June was calculated from benzene spot prices from 26 May to 25 June, the source added.
Sinopec’s average list price for May was at CNY8,533/tonne, according to a source at the company's sales office in east China.
“We lowered our [list price] offers by CNY300/tonne to CNY7,500/tonne EXW east China on 14 June on the back of weak downstream demand,” the source said.
