HOUSTON (ICIS)--An equipment failure on Saturday at Valero’s Corpus Christi East Plant refinery in Texas did not effect production, a spokesman for Valero said on Monday.
The 142,000 bbl/day refinery released emissions as a result of an equipment failure, according to a filing with the National Response Center.
Company spokesman Bill Day said, “There was no material impact to production associated with the emissions report.”
The filing said the problem has been fixed, but it was unknown if the unit was back at planned capacity.
