Taiwan’s CPC seeks 5,000-10,000 tonnes MTBE for August-September

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s state oil refiner CPC Corp has issued a tender to purchase 5,000-10,000 tonnes of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) for delivery into Kaohsiung or Keelung port in the August-September period, traders said on Tuesday.

CPC’s tender is valid until 29 June.

MTBE is used as an additive to boost octane levels in gasoline.
