HOUSTON (ICIS)--Jacobs has won a contract for work on a planned 35,000 tonne/year ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) project in ?xml:namespace>
Financial terms and timelines for completion and start-up were not disclosed.
UHMWPE is used in industrial applications, including batteries and industrial fibres.
The project will source its ethylene from an existing Saudi Kayan olefins facility. It will run on SABIC technology.
