Flint Hills shuts down hydrocracker at Corpus Christi refinery

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Flint Hills Resources shut down a hydrocracker unit (HCU) at is Corpus Christi West Plant in Houston to isolate a leak at the unit's heat exchanger, the company said on Tuesday in a state environmental filing.

The shutdown took place on Monday and Tuesday, according to a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality filing.

The leak resulted in emissions being release. The leak was discovered on Monday but not immediately located, according to a filing with the National Response Center.

The refinery has a capacity of 292,000 bbl/day.
