China’s Jilin Petrochemical restarts MMA after maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jilin Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, has restarted its 100,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) unit in Jilin province following 27 days of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The unit was shut on 30 May and restarted on 26 June, the source added.

The source said it will take two days to resume “normal operations”, but declined to comment on the actual operating rates.
