MOVES: Flemming Bjornslev named CEO of LANXESS in the US

HOUSTON (ICIS)--LANXESS has named Flemming Bjornslev CEO and president of its US business, LANXESS Corp, the Germany-based chemicals producer said on Wednesday.

Bjornslev will succeed Randy Dearth who is leaving LANXESS effective on 31 July to become CEO of Calgon Carbon.

Dearth headed LANXESS Corp since 2004 when LANXESS was carved out of Bayer.

Bjornslev, who is currently CEO of LANXESS Central Eastern Europe, will take over his new duties at a later date. In the interim, LANXESS Corp chief financial officer Raymond Newhouse will serve as acting CEO, the company said.

Dearth serves on the ICIS Chemical Business (ICB) editorial advisory board.
