LONDON (ICIS)--Russia-based petrochemicals major Sibur has selected INEOS Technologies as a licensor for four polyethylene (PE) units at its ZapSibNeftekhim production complex in Tobolsk, western Siberia, the Switzerland-headquartered group said on Friday.
The four units have a total capacity of 1.5m tonnes/year of PE. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
INEOS said it has licensed its Innovene technology for two 400,000 tonne/year units and two 350,000 tonne/year units, which will manufacture linear low density and high density PE products.
Peter Williams, CEO of INEOS Technologies, said: “We look forward to working with Sibur to deliver a first class manufacturing asset characterised by excellent economics, operational robustness, and the high product quality required to meet current and future market demands.”
