Fuxiang Chemical's China BR plant shut on feedstock shortage

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Fuxiang Chemical’s 50,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant at Quanzhou in China’s Fujian province is currently shut on shortage of feedstock butadiene (BD), a company source said on Monday.

The plant was taken off line on 29 June and will be down for “about one week”, the source said.

The company’s 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant at the site is is currently at 90% of capacity, the source said.

Fuxiang Chemical is a joint venture between Fujian Petrochemical Industrial Corp, Meizhouwan Chlor-Alkali Industry and Fujian Huaxing Group.
