SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Zhejiang Cenway New Synthetic Materials has shut its 50,000 tonne/year isobutylene-isoprene copolymers (IIR) plant in Zhejiang province for about 40 days of maintenance, industry sources said on Monday.

The plant was originally scheduled to be shut on 20 June, but this was delayed to 30 June, the sources said without elaborating further.

The shutdown has led to a positive market sentiment among IIR players as the recent supply in the domestic regular IIR market was ample, some traders said.

The company is a major IIR producer in China.
