SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Yaxing Chemical has been conducting test runs at its 70,000 tonne/year chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) plant at Weifang city in Shandong province since 30 June, the company said on Tuesday.

The plant was relocated to Yaxing project park in Hanting district from Kuiwen district at the same city as required by the local government’s urban development plan, the company said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Yaxing Chemical stopped CPE production at Kuiwen in mid-March 2012, it said.

The company runs two other CPE units in Yaxing project park with a combined capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year.

Yaxing Chemical mainly produces CPE, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and caustic soda.
