Taiwan’s TPCC runs phenol/acetone plant at 85% capacity

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp (TPCC) has reduced operating rates at its phenol/acetone plant at ?xml:namespace>Kaohsiung to 85% of capacity, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company has decided to cut operating rates from 100% on recent hikes in feedstock benzene and propylene values, the source said.
The plant can produce 360,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 220,000 tonnes/year of acetone. By: Samuel Wong
